Joseph Addison has rightly observed “I consider a human soul without education like marble in a quarry which shows none of its inherent beauties until the skill of the polisher sketches out the colors, makes the surface shine and discovers every ornamental cloud, spot and vein that runs through it.”

At S.G.H.P.S, Basant Avenue the endeavor is not only to polish and hone the basic skills of children to survive in this competitive world but also to build in them the ability and insight to respond to situations, empower and strengthen the aptitude to observe, analyze and to make decisions.

The school has always strived to impart a very holistic progressive and quality education to our students. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach to education and laying ample stress on physical, social and life skills has resulted into the all round development of students.

I am immensely pleased at the growth the school is making. I extend my warm wishes to Principal, staff and students to continue this journey on the road of success.

The thoughtful words of Rabindra Nath Tagore “Where the mind is without fear and head is held high, Where knowledge is free where the world has not been broken up into the fragments by narrow domestic walls” have always made me ruminate about the true objective of education. Normally when we speak of education, the words like knowledge, wisdom, understanding, information, training, curriculum etc. come into our minds but, I feel that real education encompasses the ability of a child to respond to the situations effectively. Therefore the school system can provide an environment to stimulate and motivate a child to achieve excellence in every field of life. I am pleased that we make our students capable of carving successful lives.

The principal and the entire team of school deserve my best wishes for the years to come.
